Hah!

you know what?

This is excellent.

It is lamb of god meets chimaira. well, its elf meets gorebastard. whatever.

ElfofChaos responds:

only difference is the first two are actually making money for this hahahahaha

thanks for the listen man

Cool man

If you took the time to find different VST instruments outside of what FL came with;; this song would be %1000 better. It is already good though besides that. FL Slayer is so over-used it ruins the sound for me. Good song, GJ,

Eirun responds:

Heh, true. Too bad I can't undo that now. :D

=( im sorry but

Im sorry but I skipped through the track and realized the intro riff does indeed loop through %90 of the song. Thats terrible man, don't ever do that again. Change it up for gods sake omg. Just trying to be honest.

Im going to write this as I listen to the song.

Intro:

Good EQ, what is that a wind sample? Oh wait its a little bassy I think. The guitar fill in doesn't blend too well to the main riff.

Solo part thing:

The drums have not changed a bit. cmon man, fill it in, we need drum fills

oh wait there was 1 drum fill I heard to far,

The "drummer" is only using 1 hand technically. thats not metal.

Final opinion:

The main guitar riff looped the entire time, there was a small solo. The drums looped and there was the same drum fill 2-3 times I think.

Now ask yourself:
Is this something you would want to write?

If the answer is yes then keep doing it, and good luck progressing as a musician.

No?

Well hell, try harder. Practice makes perfect. Compose the best damn metal symphony you've ever heard.

It needs drums that change.

It needs riffs that change.

Even if there aren't vocals it needs a chorus, bridges, solos, melody, etc.. etc..etcc..

that song made me feel like I fell asleep after watching a DVD and the menu music kept playing over and over again. and I fucking hate that.

Good luck, keep it up.

......

The fact that you gave it such a unpromising name is a wonder that I even clicked on it.

Lets see;

I will break this song down into 3 tracks (in order of their appearance)

Piano track 1: Loops the entire time with the exception of a few spots. Remember: removing a track for a few measures is not a substitution for a bridge.

Piano track 2: composed of about 3 chords id say, same thing as track 1. Acts as a outro as well

Drum track: thats all it is, kind of cuts in and out to give the illusion that the "song" actually has a structure.

It is repetitive. and to my ears it only has 3 tracks switching places here and there.

You have the skill to make better piano tracks, I promise. Try harder, and try to compose a fucking masterpiece. Nobody is going to give a shit that you were the one that wrote "Another damned piano track." get it?

I am not trying to be rude, just honest. If you feel that my review was inaccurate then you are right, because as long as you feel that it was as good as you want it to be, than its good.

ThumperHill responds:

Let me just say that

1] The name fit the track. Thats why its named that. It was quickly made and in my mind somewhat rediculous.

2] I make music that I like, and I like this one because I play music like this, without structure and mostly repetitive, when I'm playing games on my computer. Because when I'm racing against seven other people, I don't want to be so interested in the song that I suck at the race.

3] I thank you for your review because its honest, but I would like to say that I'm not trying to compose a "fucking masterpiece." I'm composing what I like and what fits my needs, and if people want to hear more, great. If not, great.

Well

According to the title I assume it was meant for the credit roll at the end.

When I imagine it along with a credit roll it really does fit well, but then again...

Any song can fit with a credit roll depending on what kind of mood the audience wants to leave his audience with.

Its repetitive, very repetitive. Remember: Removing the drum track for 2 measures is not a substitution for a bridge.

Overall, its pleasing to the ears for the first minute. I tried this song on a test audience of a few friends hanging out and they gave me a weird look after approx 1 minute. It seriously repeats too much.

I voted honestly, and reviewed honestly.

2/5

ThumperHill responds:

Ok, honestly, stop reviewing my stuff. I know my shit repeats itself, that's what I want it to do. After two reviews saying practically the same thing and a shitty vote from you, I don't need any more of them. I get your point, stop being obnoxious.

Yeah

Before i even read the other reviews I thought it sounded like Dimebad too. Thats gr8

Wow

Vocals can make or break a song, and this song is great where it is. If you add a bad singer in there people are going to vote the opposite. Choose wisely.

I'd buy it, and that says alot.

I gotta know...

What mixing software do you use? Or do you actually record the instruments? This sounds so fantastic

Setu-Firestorm responds:

It's a VSTi called Edirol Orchestral. The host program is Nuendo, but that's a bit irrelevant because Nuendo basically does all the same things that every other host software does (although Nuendo's got a whole world of other features, I haven't really explored them yet).

Good stuff

Does drag on for a while with the first part, even though it's a badass riff and all. Good work man.
